Naďa Roštek

Partner

Naďa was part of our legal team between 2007 and 2016, and from 2024, when she rejoined our team as a Competition and Compliance Partner.

From 2016 to 2020, she worked in the corporate sector and held the position of Director of Legal Services & Compliance at SLOVNAFT, a.s. Within the MOL Group, she managed the legal services in the region, with responsibility for their coordination in Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Austria and Poland. She was also responsible for the compliance of the business with competition rules throughout the MOL Group. Prior to 2007, she worked as Head of the Competition and Regulatory Law Unit at Slovenský plynárenský priemysel, a.s. (Slovak Gas Industry), and as Director of the Legal Department at the Antimonopoly Office of the Slovak Republic. In 2008, she completed a foreign internship at the U.S. Federal Trade Commission.

In her professional career, she advises primarily on Slovak and European competition law, including advising and representing clients in connection with antitrust practices (illegal restriction of competition), such as cartel issues, specific issues of the legal framework for the operation of entities with significant market power, issues of the organisation of distribution systems, or issues of "competition compliance" in a broader context. Her work includes advising on a wide range of sectors including energy, electronic communications, media, IT, transport, pharmaceuticals, food, hospitality and other.

A special area of Naďa's consultancy is ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance), i.e. accountable, ethical and sustainable business with a focus on today's most pressing societal challenges, such as climate change and environmental aspects, human and social rights and good corporate governance. Together with our ESG team, she works on the development of corporate ESG strategies and projects to implement ESG goals in companies as an ultimate tool to increase their value and build credibility with consumers and business partners. Her expertise helps clients comply with the requirements of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, as well as the ESRS - European Sustainability Reporting Standards.

Within her professional career, Naďa is continuously engaged in publishing and lecturing. She conducts seminars and workshops in the field of compliance and implementation of ethical rules and the sustainability concept, especially in the area of competition compliance, as well as Dawn Raids trainings for clients of our Law Firm, their executives, in-house lawyers, traders and other employees. Also for the National Bank of Slovakia, TAIEX (Technical Assistance Information Exchange Office at the European Commission), the Slovak Bar Association, the Centre for Continuing Education of the University of Economics, the University of Economics, the Institute for Public Administration, Transparency International and many others.

Naďa is actively involved in the activities of professional and trade union associations and organizations, as a member of the Board of Directors of the Slovak Compliance Circle (2019 - 2020), the Union of Corporate Lawyers of the Slovak Republic (2018 – 2021), and the Slovak Fulbright Alumni Association (2015 – 2019).

Nada speaks fluent English and passive French.

Education:

• 2001, Faculty of Law, Comenius University Bratislava (Mgr.)
• 2002, Faculty of Law, Comenius University Bratislava (JUDr.)
• In 2006, she completed a post-graduate course in European Competition Law at the College of Europe in Brussels and Bruges.
• In 2009, she received her LL.M. degree from the American University Washington College of Law in the US, following her graduation from the prestigious Fulbright Commission – H.H. Humphrey Fellowship Program.
