We helped the hands join the hands again

The National Rehabilitation Center in Kováčová hosted the thirteenth edition of the benefit cultural event "Ruky spoja ruky" (Hands Joining Hands), with the continued support of our law firm. This event was designed for clients with physical disabilities from facilities in Kováčová, as well as for mentally and physically disabled children and adults. Companies Must Adapt Their Websites for Persons with Disabilities by June 28, 2025

On June 28, 2025, the Act No. 351/2022 Coll. on the Accessibility of Products and Services for Persons with Disabilities will come into effect. This legislation aims to ensure the full and equal participation of individuals with disabilities in society by enhancing their access to essential products and services. The Act will introduce several new obligations that companies need to prepare for. Among these, businesses will be required to make technical modifications to their websites and electronic services to improve accessibility for persons with disabilities. Failure to comply may result in fines of up to EUR 30,000 imposed by the Slovak Trade Inspection Authority. Slovakia’s New Construction Act

The Government’s draft of the new Building Act has passed the parliament in an abbreviated legislative procedure and has already been signed by the president. The proclaimed goal of this new Building Act is to simplify and accelerate construction, as well as reduce the administrative burden in permitting procedures. The biggest innovations include abolishing the previous multi-stage decision-making, i.e. first a planning permit and then a building permit. Find out more in the article by Matej Škultéty.
